The SDR reserved esteblished in 1969. But since 1944 it was part of articles of agreement - imf law that every member shall be assigned to a quote that amounts to a particular amount to be paid to imf general resource account for managing membership.

Now since 1969 we can manage trades in SDR , even quota subscription have contact with SDR the basket of 5 currencies but before 1969 what was used to be paid as quota subscription? In 1944 when there was no concept of SDR or basket currency how members made subscriptions? What was paid by members to imf pool?

It is mentioned in Articles of agreement - IMF constitution or law , any member can purchase SDR through specialized currencies and it can repurchase fund's Holding of its curreny. What is meant by later concept? If india has subscribed IMF by paying quota in USD and i have certain SDR reserved in IMF. india can claim SDR and it can convert them to other currencies called basket currencies, but if india wants to raise its fund holding in IMF what is meant by this?
